Ingalla Ref

She needed a revamp, desperately.

Ingalla was one of the three experiments that escaped Devinion's lab in Kenya. She was still young and unable to survive on her own. Somehow she managed to travel down to Botswana, where a Bantu tribe found her and took her in. They treated her with kindness and respect, as she was a creature they had never seen before. They thought her something like a goddess and tended to her in any way she needed. Having only ever been shown hurt and hate from the humans at the lab, Ingalla was fearful and wary of the tribe, but over time she grew to trust and accept them. Years past and they became her family. As she grew, Ingalla began to return their kindness by helping them in whatever ways she could. Anything from helping to get water, lifting heavy loads, or fending off a rouge lion, Ingalla was always willing to help. When she was old enough to leave and live on her own, she decided to stay and call the little village her home as well. The people rejoiced and since then have considered the creature to be a member of the tribe. Many years past, and soon her original care-takers passed on in life. Ingalla, however, remained healthy and young. She has only just begun to act as somewhat of a link from the newest generation to those who have passed away.

Touched by the tribe's kindness, Ingalla's heart grew into one of love and caring. She has an especially soft spot in her heart for children. Many of the kids in the village use her as something akin to a jungle-gym or ride her through the jungle for fun. She's more than willing to indulge them and would do anything to keep them safe. She was taught the language of the people long ago and at night she can be found by the fire-light, telling grand stories to the children. She helps to share the legends and stories she was told and gives the next generation a link to their ancestors. She can also weave her own tales of wonder, which the kids have no trouble soaking in and enjoying.

Should the rural village ever find itself under attack or found out by outsiders, it is without a doubt that Ingalla would defend it's people with her life. Just as much, the tribe would do all they could to keep her existence hidden from the outside world. Those who know of her past and the horrors of her creation would stop at nothing to keep her from returning to that hell.
